The Tradition Continues

Steve Rolfing introduced llama packing to the Northern Rockies in 1980. For 30 years, Great Northern Llama Co. provided families and folks from all over the world with pack trip vacations on a 25-mile stretch of ridgetop trail in the Swan Mountains, south of his ranch.

In 2025 the Rolfings passed the lead rope to their son, Jamie, who has brought the llama experience from the wilderness to the ranch with Tours & Treks for all ages and abilities.
